Matt Fristoe, Crescent Solutions’ Chief Financial Officer, has been with our company since 2006. Over the past seven years, he’s seen the company grow and mature, as well seen his own family expand.
Family is an extremely important aspect of Fristoe’s life: he’s married with four kids—two boys and two girls who range from age one-and-a-half to eight—and also lives with his pet dog and cat. In his spare time, he spends quality time with them. He lives on a five-acre land in Murrieta, CA in his wife’s “dream house,” he said.
“Where I get my joy is watching my kids run around,” Fristoe said. “We’re weird; we don’t have cable. We just introduced them [the kids] to the iPad, so I think they’ll go nuts on that. My passion is obviously them and my wife.”
He “bounced around a lot” when he was growing up, having lived in the Bay Area and then moving out to Los Angeles when he was in the seventh grade. A Long Beach State alumni, he worked at a real estate private equity firm and also performed auditing at regional accounting company prior to joining the Crescent Solutions team. When he received a call from our CEO Brian Fischbein to join the company, he was living in Redding, CA and had just had his first daughter—who was six-months-old at the time—and then made his trek down to Southern California.
Fristoe thinks fondly about his colleagues at our company. “The people that I work with that have their own little quirks put a smile on my face,” he said.
