Brandon Barnett is an outdoorsman at heart and hails from the small mountain town of Durango, Colorado. His family moved out to Las Vegas—a much different place than his hometown—when he was 11, and he’s stayed in the desert ever since.
“I prefer Durango because I like to hunt and hike and fish,” Brandon said. “You can’t really do that out here, but now after being in Vegas for so long it’s hard to go anywhere else just because you get used to the 24-hour lifestyle and get used to shopping or going out and doing whatever you want.”
He’s an avid concert-goer and loves rock, metal, and hip-hop music—especially Del-Tron and Wu Tang Clan. However, he still gets his outdoorsy kick by going camping, off-roading, and shooting with his friends as much as possible. A traveler, he spent some time in San Diego last year, and is looking forward to his first-time trip to Denver at the end of this year. “I always wanted to [travel] when I was younger, but I never really had the chance,” he said. “Now that I’m older I like to go to different places.”
Variety is the spice of life for Brandon. When he joined Crescent Solutions, he started as a temporary contractor doing administrative work and soon after landed a permanent position to help to run the office. He later discussed with his Regional Director, Sonia Petkewich, about doing a more challenging role, and he is now the Technical and Financial Specialist. It’s his two-year anniversary at the company on Oct. 31.
Prior to joining Crescent Solutions, he worked at Wyndham, the largest vacation timeshare company in the world. However, he felt like a “gear in the machine” since it was such a huge company. When he first got hired on at Crescent Solutions, the Las Vegas branch just opened and he helped build the office. “They valued your input,” he said.
“We’d go out to dinners. The whole team would go out to a bar on a Friday night and have a drink or two to relax from the week. It was pretty neat.”
The positive energy resonates from both sides. Stephanie Le, Crescent Solutions’ Operations Director, only has good things to say about Brandon. “I’ve never worked with anyone as enthusiastic to help you as Brandon. I’m not sure how he maintains his positive outlook day in and day out, but he’s an amazing person to work with and I feel lucky to get to work with him every day.”
