Matt Lee has been on the Crescent Solutions team as far back as his college days. He fondly remembers the aquarium in front of his desk at our Irvine branch when he started as an intern, saying he “really liked it.” Within a few months, he became our company accountant, and has been with the team for the past two-and-a-half years.
“Matt is like a superhero to me,” said Stephanie Le, Director of Operations. “He can do anything, and if he can’t do it, he’ll figure it out. Sometimes because it’s ‘fun’ for him, he’ll work on projects at home on the weekends, which just makes me
admire him more. I feel extra lucky to get to work with him on a regular basis.”
The Los Angeles native grew up in La Cañada, and he trekked south to attend the University of California, Irvine, where he received his degree in accounting. During the time he interned at Crescent Solutions, the unemployment rate was high and
his fellow classmates were worried about getting a job after graduation. When he was offered a full-time position at our company while he was still in school, he said, “It really turned things around for me.”
“At the time, I was really scared I would have to work at In-N-Out or [get a] minimum-wage paying job,” he added.
Although Matt often finds himself busy at work, he’s a foodie in his spare time—always in search of the best Korean BBQ or breakfast burrito joint. Matt’s suggestion? The breakfast burrito at Lucky Boy’s in South Pasadena. “Trust me—
I’ve tried a lot of breakfast burritos,” he said. “You have to get it with ranch, not the salsa.”
Alongside of checking out restaurants, Matt has been following the Los Angeles Clippers since he was in the seventh grade, and used to attend games on a regular basis whenever he was in town. His favorite players are Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups. As for the other Angeleno team? “I’m a Kobe fan, but not a Lakers fan,” Matt said.
He’s a true Clippers fan for life.
