Canadian-born but SoCal-raised, Vichy Truong is quite an ambitious man. Attending UC Riverside for undergrad, he received his Bachelors degree in Economics and Marketing. Following graduation, he worked for award-winning BBCN, a bank that has been serving the largest Korean community in the US for over 28 years.
Initially joining the Crescent Solutions team as an Intern, he quickly exceeded all expectations and earned himself a promotion to Recruiting Coordinator. Proving himself in the Coordinator position, he once again found himself moving onward and upward to his current role, Technical Recruiter. “Eh…he has nice skin,” joked Regional Director, Michael Chiang. But all kidding aside, Vichy truly is a beloved member of the Los Angeles office. “Vichy hit the ground running from the moment he started with us, and continues to grow daily,” says Division Manager, Rich Kahn. “He has a ton of raw talent and has a bright future ahead of him.” “Vichy is a very hard worker with tons of potential,” agrees colleague Mia Robinson. “He is confident, dedicated, loyal, with an awesome sense of humor and sweet personality. His energy is very welcoming and warm. He really is an all-around good guy.”
“One of my first experiences at Crescent was when I went to E3 (the world’s premier trade show for computer and video games) with Michael and Alan via G4,” recalls Vichy. “But my most memorable office moments definitely came from when we were located on the 6th floor. Francis Salenga and Brian Burns sitting next to each other will always be the thing that made me laugh the hardest. They have the most hilarious dynamic and dialogue.”
Outside of work, Vichy really gets in tune with his competitive side. “I train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu after work and I play on a competitive paintball team on weekends!” And while this is fulfilling, “spending time with friends over good food is my quintessential definition of fun.” “He loves Hot Cheetos,” sneaks in colleague Airrel Watkins. “Hahaha, but my favorite food is red meat. Whether it’s Brazilian BBQ, Korean BBQ, or a Steakhouse,” says Vichy, “I’m definitely a carnivore.”
